Looking to buying this scope? Any one have any ideas about its performance?

I like mine. It is 4-16x50 model and it has nice clear picture very usable reticle and ir for my targets in the woods behind my house. It gets hard to see targets in the evening.

I believe the 3-12x40 compact has an one inch eye relief, but provides a larger field of view. If used on a high recoil rifle will give a black eye! Hope that helps

I am wrong it’s 3-12x32 that has the one inch eye relief the 3-12x40 compact has three inch eye relief. Sorry

Moscarm (Mark) had one for sale on the classifieds if you want to save some money. Highly recommended seller. I was used on a PCP he just recently sold.

The reticle/focus ring came loose on mine and I had to do the o-ring modification to tighten it up and make the scope useful again.

I believe we're talking about the scope that has an objective of 44mm, as in 3-12x44 (part no. 13 200).



What I like about it:

+ Short! (its big sister, 4-16x44, part no. 13 210, is only 0.8" longer and 1.1oz heavier)

+ Light!

+ Very wide FoV (for a 3x a FoV of 44ft @100y is exceptional)

+ 100moa of elevation adjustment = exceptional, and it has a revolution turn counter, great!



What I don't like (deal breakers for my type of shooting):

– Capped turrets

– SFP



For an FFP scope with exposed turrets – that is super light and super short like these Hawkes above, with very clear glass, and about $100 less, I'll take the Discovery VT-3 3-12x44 FFP (they have the 3-12x44 in SFP, too; and its big sister, 4-16x44 FFP).

So is the Aliexpress $100 ($299 at MIDWAYUSA) BSA 4-14x44 FFP.
