I am looking to replace my Hatsan Barrage .22 with something much lighter. I am 59 years old and the gun is too heavy....over 10 pounds without scope. I need a gun on our farm in Hawaii to cull feral chickens that are wreaking havoc in our garden. Thinking to get .25 cal?? Budget is max at $1200. I like the tactical style of gun and wife needs to be able to shoot it also. Looking at FX dream-tact? I appreciate any ideas. Mahalo, Steve

I have a Dreamline tactical in 22 and I love it.I have a Hawk compact 4-16 on it with a UGT by pod and it weighs 8.4 pounds.Its shooting JSB 14 grains at 800 fps with the port on medium and HST on 9. I only get to shoot it when I can pry it from my 15 year old Granddaughters hands.Out of all my guns its her favorite,so Im sure your wife could shoot it just fine. Hope this helps. PS It shoots the JSB 18 grains at 800 fps with port on high and hammer wheel on 20, It would be a great chicken dinner gun.

I also think the Brocock Sniper XR would be a perfect fit for you. I have one in 22 its a little heavier then the Dreamline but not by much. It has more power then the FX and AOA has them on sale for 1300.00 bucks.

AEA HP Assassin in .25…….lightweight, good shot count and reasonably accurate for a semi-auto.
