Looking for new big bore

I hear greater things about aea over umarex🤷‍♂️
Although I do not own any big bore pellet slingers, I would probably go with the 58....sounds cooler to say.... instead of saying 510 and having someone respond do you mean 410?🤷‍♂️🤣🤪
Just my rhoughts🤔
I do however own an umarex trevox that functions great🤗
All of the aea stuff is almost always out of my budget range 😵‍💫

Disclaimer as I dont own either. I have tried an AEA gun and I would happily buy another. There was so much stank with the Hammer that I dont know I'd chance going that route. I was excited when it was first showcased and had intentions of purchasing. Then I waited... and waited...and waited... and by the time they were shipping, that urge was gone like a fart in a windstorm; especially when I started seeing the negative reports come in.

I'm sure there are some happy Hammer owners out there, but from what I've read, they seem to be in the minority.

I'd stay away from.the Hammer.. Many had multiple problems coming out of the factory. Chicken thief here on the forum had a AEA Zeus and the barrel had a lead cut in it that looked like a beaver chewed it. AEA did nothing.. I have a Texan 50 and it hasn't been reliable and the factory barrel really sucked... I'd try to buy a used or new western bushbuck... If reliability and accuracy are concerns.

I have aea bull pup 50 caliber now. I do like it. I want more distance on my shot. The 510 is a 50 caliber

I'll second Reedmosser in stay the hell away from an airforce Texan. Both my original, and replacement sent by airforce were total pieces of (*^. Airforce customer service blows chunks when you have a real problem.

I've had good luck with my Texan, but wont discount the experience of others.
I will say that with the AF guns, the lack of customer support is near cancelled out by the vast community support on these guns. That is, unless you buy new and have issues... then the sting of getting a new gun with issues is hard to console.

My 457 does really well, but it's VERY picky on what I feed it and very picky on hold sensitivity.

I have the Zues in 72cal with a 24 inch barrel. Great airgun. I would have purchased the 58cal, but it is only available in a 32 inch barrel. If an overall length of 50 inches isn't a problem, the 58cal delivers over 1000fpe, AEA makes a regulator for it, and it's accurate! Watch the video below for 58cal with the regulator. This Channel also has a video with the regulator set to 500 fpe.
