looking for good you tube channels.

looking for suggestions/recommendations on some you tube channels similar to Bob O. or airgun hunters that do the same thing EXCEPT use guns like a gamo urban, marauder, gauntlet, or break barrels. it just seems more interesting to me to see those guns at work rather than $4000+ set ups.

just to put my thoughts into perspective.....

to me it is way more interesting and impressive to take a deer at 15 yards with a longbow and cedar arrows than using a compound to take one at 50 yards.

please list your favorite channels if you think they are what im looking for. thanks!

Look into VerminhuntersTV on YouTube. Si Pittaway and Davy Thomas, two Brits with years of shooting experience beginning with springers and progressing through better springers, really really great springers, and (what are for guys in Britain) middle-of-the-road PCPs. Sure, lots of time tuning guns but the sub-12 ft lb rules in Britain for non-FAC shooting mean every polished sear and lubed spring is important to peak performance. Still, these guys are class acts and great shots. Lots of interesting stories to go along with the shooting vids, too. https://www.youtube.com/user/VerminHuntersTV/videos

kkarmical,

That looks as easy as shooting fish in a barrel!

Too cool, my friends and I used to rifle-fish all the time. Mostly with rimfire .22s though.
Last year I went puddle-hunting for water-skippers while out in the woods target shooting..
That was challenging and really funny too.

I just remembered another cool YT channel..

African Airgunning: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoFGX-PGx8Pckd_6WfXtViQ/videos

And just a fun / random fact:

I've watched enough vids from guys over in South Africa to sort of 'know their accent'...
I was at work this past winter, and 2 guys came in. As soon as they started chatting, I just blurted out: "Are you from South Africa"? haha
As it turns out, they were brothers.. Both retired, one lived here in the US, the other lived in S.A. and they laughed that I guessed that..
Also - and even cooler - As soon as I mentioned 'why' I knew the accent, they both looked at each other, and laughed..
Then told me that they were also Very Big into airguns, and the one guy actually used to run a Huge airgun importing business over there..
He'd import guns, pieces, parts, etc. from the states, and sell them over there. For years and years..
He just happened to be visiting his brother for a few days when we all ran into each other. Small world..

Sorry.. Severe lack of sleep - I'm in rambling mode today..

tsmith,

I'm mainly a Field Target competitor, but I have a channel where I set up and compete with a Benjamin Marauder, and show that you don't need a stupid expensive set up in order to be competitive. I go over my regimen of sorting pellets for accuracy, including washing, lubing, weighing, checking headsize, resizing, and checking pellet skirts. All of this equipment used in my various videos, cost less than $150 combined, so a novice doesn't have to break the bank to find and refine pellets for the best accuracy you can achieve.
