Looking for Diana Outlaw

You may consider an alternative if the Diana is not on stock such as the Benjamin Cayden 22 caliber which appears to be on sale at AoA for the same 25% off Crosman.com AGNATION code. Free shipping on Friday if purchased from Crosman on Friday. It is roughly 1.25# heavier and a little more power 32fpe vs 30fpe Diana. 5 year warranty vs 1 year Diana and Turkey vs China Diana. No regulator to go bad either and possibly get more shots too at less pressure 3000psi vs 3626psi Diana. Might get better accuracy too with a Benjamin Kral Turkish barrel vs Chinese Diana.

....they seem very S510 'ish...

If you can't find an Outlaw in .22, try an Artemis M16. It is the same gun with a more modest pricetag. I have one. It is a refined gun, light to carry, and scarily accurate at 50+ yds with H&N Baracuda Match.

If you can't find one Stateside try Krale in the Netherlands. They ship to the USA lightning fast.

Just be careful with the hammer retention pin on the cocking lever (inside the action). It is a weak point. Mine broke after I fired the gun without fully closing the cocking lever by mistake. (I am not the only dummy like that apparently either ...). A real pain to replace. Another issue was the regulator, started cracking up after a year. I replaced it with a Lane, no problems since.

Other than that, excellent gun. Look up the Hardairmagazine review. good luck! 🐦

I have a FX Dreamline classic and my son loves it. He is only twelve and this will be his Christmas. Do you guys think that the Cayden will be comparable to the Dreamline? I know we aren't comparing apples to apples, but would it even be close?

I love Kral (maker of Cayden). But I would go for the lighter gun for a 12year old. The m16 is my son's darling. Another option I would strongly recommend is the Gamo Urban (look up the user reviews at Pyramydair):

- Very high quality build (better than Artemis or Kral and nearly on par with the basic FX models even though many would call that heresy).

- really accurate and not pellet fussy (loves the crossman premiers)

- nice pistol grip and comb

- solid but light to carry and very well balanced

- great silencer

- easy to hand pump

- excellent price that belies the quality on offer. I use it for hunting.

Good luck! 🐦

Not sure where you can get an Outlaw right now but I had one of the first ones a couple years ago. I really liked the gun in spite of having a few issues with it. Accuracy was ok. Not great but it got the job done out to 50 yards with 16 gr JSB at 915 fps.

However I sold it and moved on. As far as a prod with AR stock thats a great choice. I built one for my 9 yo grandson and he loves it. Tuned it to get 4 mags at 680 to 725 fps with Crosman 14.3 Ultra mags. He has taken sparrows, starlings, frogs and a pigeon with it. Adjustable stock works great as his older sister can also shoot it.
