Looking for basic scope for pcp

I am putting together a pcp for my neighbor for squirrels. Here's what I think he would want.
Distance to targets is 20-24 yards)
SFP
4-12-40 ( 40mm max)
Regular ole Cross Hair
Non Illuminated
Adjustable Objective ( side focus would be wonderful)
I have Bushnell Banners that would be perfect, IMO, but I don't want to remove from my rifles.
Budget; $125-$185

Hawke Vantage 4-12-40. Not very expensive, no frills and extremely light. Good glass too.
