Looking for a springer.

Sorry if this seems like a thread hijack but the question I have probably will benefit the OP as well. Can anyone tell me what you get moving up in price with a springer? They all seem the same to a noob.

For higher price you get some combination of better finish, tighter tolerances, better accuracy and hopefully less hold sensitivity. For the most part, the more powerful, the harder it will be to cock and the more difficult it will be to shoot accurately. The exception to hold sensitivity is the RWS 54 with its recoil sled, but that comes with its own issues. There are reasons that Field Target shooters in the piston class overwelmingly prefer underlever rifles tuned to 12 ft lbs (800 fps with 8.4 grain pellets).
