Looking for a good tank source

Well i had an awesome opportunity fall through on a tank, so now I have no tank from which to refill my armada when it gets here.

Im not looking to break the bank, so i am hoping some of you veterans can point me in a good direction for a used tank, or affordable new high pressure tank to serve as my main storage and filling source.

I was about to help you until you said "affordable" ... LOL

I know that here in Dallas I rented a 6000 psi nitrogen tank for about $200 a year. Then had them come fill it when it got down to 3000 psi. Can't exactly remember the refill cost but it was maybe $150. And that much air lasted 8 months or so. But, you need an expensive regulator for the bottle. So it is about the same as buying a tank anyway. If you don't know where to look, check out airtanksforsale.com Joe Brancato is a great guy and his stuff is top notch. His merchandise isn't cheap but it is because it is the really good stuff.

Centercut pointed you in the right direction ,,as he did for me next week ill be returning for my second tank and valve set up great price tank was in very good condition and a brand new valve and whip combo ,,i am very happy i took his advice pat

if you can get two tanks to try cascading method,, it will cut the trips to the air store down,,, and u will get more fills look into the cascading method it works good luck remember its good to get a approved hydro sticker ,,any questionable tanks are no good until approved ,,be cautious and make good common sense decisions pat

Yeah that’s my main concern - I am completely new to air tanks and as such, I have no common sense yet.

Centercut’s links look good tho - I found those the other day but i dont know how good a 45 min or 60 min tank would be for an Armada.

Either one is fine, 45 or 60 minute. This one looks good.

I assume you have a fill station nearby!
Its not only the tank, its the the gas station.
​I am buddies with the volunteer fire department. they give me their obsolete bottles (carbon fiber) they may be nearly expired and instead of paying to get the hydro tested. they get the latest and greatest new bottles. I have an AV compressor. 1 omega 78(?) and 10 fire house bottles. trying to get a club started. finding people who can afford PCP is a little tough in the this part of the country.
