Leupold, Nikon, Bushnell all make very nice rangefinders within your price range with good warranties. I have a Leupold GX-13i (there is one on eBay new for $199) that doubles for hunting, pesting and golf…it’s tiny too.
I have a Sig BDX2200 that I picked up for $199 on sale. Load your ballistic data into an app on your phone, pair your phone to the rangefinder, and then your rangefinder will store that ballistic data until you decide to change it. Now when you point your range finder you will get the range and holdover directly in the eyepiece. I love mine.
I've got the Nikon Laser 30. It reads in 0.1 increments and has a +/-0.5 yard accuracy out to 600 yd (I think). It has different modes for actual distance, horizontal distance and angle. Can be set to yard or meter.
Used Leica. I had an old 800 yard one that fell out of my safe and stopped working. Contacted Leica to see if it could be fixed. They said send it in and see. Could not be fixed but they gave me a credit towards a new one. Got a 2500 yarder for half what it would cost new.
I wish the bdx was out when I got mine, I think mine is a kilo2200(before bdx). I’m impressed with the accuracy and the speed that it ranges, plus the scan feature.
