Looking for a Compressor under $400

AZGman, do you own this compressor? I've been looking at the Vevor compressor vs a GX CS3. Not many reviews on the Vevor, but $140 less for what "appears" to be virtually the same compressor???? Just haven't convinced myself to pull the trigger on one. I have an Air Venturi I fill my air tanks with in my basement, I'd only use this for filling my airguns when shooting off my deck upstairs.

Yong Heng! Look on Amazon under "Smarketbuy" compressor. Under $400. THEN, read all YH posts here for care & maintenance.

What gun, how much use? just filling guns, the 12v models are probably OK. Filling tanks, YH is about the only game in town under $400

Most of the Chinese compressors that brag no oil and no water only last for 20 hours or so the ones that say more don't last for as long as they say. The Yong Heng compressors (Not the Simple Version) ,as you really need the cyclone water separator found on the rest of the units, are the best around for under 1200-$1600 and only cost $300 so are a bargain. Parts are readily available and there are many videos out on repair as well as full rebuilds.
The Yong Heng and units similar that are water cooled and a have crankcase full of oil can last for several years, if they are not abused too seriously, with a slight bit of tinkering.

There is now a new Digital version of the Yong Heng out. I know little about it as it has not been around long enough but there is a review available and it looks to be a better unit than the “Set Pressure” model. The poor quality gauge, with the adjustable dial, on the Set Pressure version that failed every few months, has been replaced by a digital readout that gives much more information.

I like my GX CS2, but it's pretty new. My orange Orcair pump died after three months' use.
If I had to do it again, I might have gone Yong Heng. If the addiction really sets in and I have to get a tank, I will buy one. As is, portability is trumping performance at the moment.
