I'd like to try out some BR shooting, and I don't want to fart around with a bag. What do I need to know while shopping for one?
That is a very interesting question because several of us have recently been on the same quest. Unbeknown to each of us we both settled on the same solution. We played with bags, assorted three legged mechanical rests and finally ended up loving a simple front bipod without tilt or swivel. We do use a twin eared rear bag to squeeze for final adjustment.
I also must state that the dyed in the wool BR guys only use expensive mechanical rests and poo poo our bipods but we are rapidly approaching their scores. I think the difference is we are not dedicated BR fanatics, rather we just like having fun and not taking the game as seriously as the bluebloods. God forbid we go over to the dark side!

If you and your friends are shooting Piston BR, you have my respect, Sir...
