Located in NC?

Hello y'all I'm William and I am getting into pcp airguns.

I've been on this forum since the start of the quarantine (about 3 months now) learning everything i possibly can before buying an rifle to ensure i have all my ducks in a row to prevent me from buying a rifle I'm not happy with.

I'm to the point where I'm fairly confident in what I want/need from an air rifle but I'd really like to have some hands on experience with one and with filling of a tank.

If you're located near New Bern NC and you're willing to help out I'd very much appreciate it. Just shoot me a PM.

Thanks.

LOL congrats on your new found addiction haha

I am sure with the tar heel air-gun guys near and around you that you will surely find a few very helpful fellows . I welcome you to the forums and wish you the very best kind Sir. The biggest majority of the fellows on here are super duper haha.

It surprised me when I learned that we have a club for this in our state. The thought of getting completely obsessed with air rifles is extremely exciting and I can't wait!

Thanks for the welcome!

Hi from another tarheel! I'm in Greensboro where I just know 1 other airgunner. As hinted by your post "yes, air is going to be your biggest challenge". I have friends in the Fire Dept that can pump my tanks but as of late I've found a paintball shop that pumps to 4500psi and charges me $5 per fill (of course it's usually a top up from 2800psi). I have a great dive shop but they can only pump to 3,500. Would love to have my own dive grade compressor (for truly dry air) but with air locally it would be an expensive luxury. The other airgunner here in town has a friend who uses nitrogen that he gets in 6000psi cylinders from welders supply. So, work out your air before you buy a PCP or you will be very frustrated. Also, if you have dive tanks or dive shop that cannot provide a "full" 300 BAR fill you can still charge and shoot your guns plenty on partial fills at 3000 psi or even lower.

Sorry I'm not closer to help. Spent quite a bit of time in that area many years ago in my golfing era. Very nice there. Welcome and good luck, I'm sure there will be some to offer hands on assistance.
