Tuning Little holes on barrel shroud pp700sa

What is the story on the small holes on the top of the barrel shroud. It vents air when its fired so I guess a sort of air stripper??

I want to lessen the noise without moderator is this possible?

What will happen if I block the holes, would it affect accuracy will it increase FPS?

I would think that even if you had a moderator/silencer the holes defeat its purpose.

What are your thoughts.

Tape over the holes and see for yourself if it affects your accuracy or noise level. I have put a strip of foam inside the vented shroud on my Kratos to slow the air down that’s being vented. You can use the foam from a can of JSB pellets, cut into a one inch wide strip and long enough to fully wrap the barrel and place it just in front of the vents. It makes a considerably softer sound than without the foam on my Kratos. Just wrap the barrel with it and then install the shroud over it. Costs nothing to try it.

Will try the suggestions, but Wes is sending me some CF film to go between barrel and shroud this should help. As soon as my compressor comes in getting a great workout every time I fiddle then need to pump. thanks everybody

Simple, air pressure evacuation. Many suppressors have various size and shaped holes in them for the same purpose.
