OK
Well I decided to go out this evening after work to just get out and get away from some stress. It was hot, mid 80s, and mosquitos like this big white boy. It was slow and just saw the one fox squirrel running along the ground. It ran up the tree and just sat in a fork of a tree at 40yds away just looking at my big butt. So I settled the ole 25cal maurader, that was worked over by @Airgun-Revisions, on the shooting sticks and put crosshair between his eyes and---Smack. Nothing beats the sound of a Hades making contact! I went and fetched it and called it a night. It's this year model and small. It'll eat good. Definitely a stress buster.

I went this morning and scored a foxy also. Facing away from me way up a tree. Aimed just above the tail and let his innards absorb the hit. Fell stone dead.

Nice looking set up. Meant to ask you before since I know you’ve put some hours messing with fx. Will the 500mm barrels shoot slugs decent or they kinda picky? I dont need any crazy power wise. .177 or .22 out to 100 yards. Been debating the slug rabbit hole for awhile.

The .22 is pretty cooperative. Just don’t expect to do what the long barrel guys are doing. Stay 22-25gr and under 960fps. This gun is my favorite because it’s like you’re not even shooting a real gun. It just goes “tink”. No felt recoil and just sips air. It’s been a slugger since it arrived at my house.

Thanks buddy. I’m tinkering with my 1720 atm. I eventually want to go down the slug rabbit hole. Never owned a fx yet either. Always thinking about the “next one” to try.

Good luck hunting. Hopefully the next couple weeks drop a ton of leaves so I can go out soon myself.
