N/A Lightweight pcp for squirrel hunting

Huben K-1 .22cal all the way. Compact, accurate, great Ergonomics, semi auto for follow up shots, use pellets or slugs, etc
I have used the Huben K-1 for all my hunting needs of squirrels and crows since 2018.

Soon after they arrived on the scene I bought a Pinty Tactical in .22. I did need to have some trigger work done to lighten and smooth it but THammer took care of that issue amazingly.
It's a single shot gun and is very much like an Air Force gun in style. It uses a Huben Cricket regulated bottle as the stock. It's not pellet picky and just plain accurate.
I pest, I don't hunt but if I did I would not hesitate to carry this one into the woods.

If the advertised 800fps with unknown pellet weight is conservative and it has the power to send 18 or 25 grain pellets around 850, i can definitely sell some of the guys on the repeaters. If it's pretty much a p15 it's 27 fpe. That's right on par with an 18 grn pellet and the magic number.
That 800fps is extremely under rated.

I read your op again , and would recommend the Zelos in .22 , or .25.
I've hunted in the past , and know about the necessity of light weight when walking many miles. At 6 lbs it's not bad , but the scope will add weight , and a bottle as well I just target shoot now , I'm getting 47 fpe with a power tune. Use a C88 machine bottle adapter , and a 580 cc carbon fiber bottle adapter to keep the weight down. The Zelos weighs 6 lbs. Use a red dot to keep weight down as well
The Awesome Zelos has a 20 round mag , and is sporting a 26" barrel in a 36" overall package. The Buckrail moderator will add a little more length , but very light. You can also get hi cap double mags at
www.heartlandairguns.com If you do need a bi pod the R9 is light , and sturdy , and a tough bottom rail can be found at heartland as well. I realize the expensive things , so if you want a great gun the Avenger bullpup 2 is also a great hunter gun.

At 4.4 lbs the Artemis or SPA P15 has to be among the very lightest. It is a bit out-of-date with rear cocking but for a right handed shooter it seems like a viable choice. It has a wood stock and will tend to be a little more powerful than something like the Notos. A P15 22 should be very capable of getting a little over 30 fpe. I was shooting 21 grain Baracudas out of my P35-22 at 840 fps this morning. It has been tweaked a little but when it was stock I was still getting over 800 fps for a fairly heavy 22 caliber pellet. The P35 is the P15 redesigned to cock in the middle.

Not cheap but I'm having a tough time imagining a better airgun for squirrel hunting.

Fast follow up shots.
Reliable.
Precise, 3/4" at 50y.
Decent trigger.
Removable and capped 15 shot mags.
Lightweight.
Compact.
Nearly 75 shots per fill at 22 fpe.

Western Mordax Venom in 22 cal and a friend modeling.

I only own budget friendly pcp's, but every one that I own will shoot dime size groups at 30 yds. I only buy .22 cal, because of the wide variety of pellet options. All of them shoot JTS 18.1 the best except the Disco, it likes JSB 15.89. Lucky me....

Benjamin Disco
Barra 1100z
Umerex Notos
Gamo Urban
Pinty P-Force

All of them are a excellent choice for small game hunting, but i find the Barra a little long and heavy for extra long hikes. Just my 2 cents...
I find it funny that you choose the .22 for the large selection .22 ammo but only run 1 type of pellet, not judging, just found it funny lol.

I would say for the price, a Notos, or even a gamo urban if you're really trying to stay budget friendly.

I changed my mind for the best starter PCP would be the Air Venturi Avenger Bullpup 2. Check it out it's perfect for your needs , and comes in .177 .22 , and .25. 70 shots on a fill.
I second the Avenger Bull pup 2. Just got mine in .25 last week, power tuned, and boy she sure shoots great!
