On, Canada
Every time I pull out this rifle, it always brings a smile to my face. I’m so lucky to have this rifle. I believe it was the last one sold in Canada.

Now the wood version is outstanding. When I start buying custom stocks, this will be first to receive one. I have a trigger from the UK, but still not installed. They say it’s so much better with custom trigger, I’m happy with this one. Should be sweet.
This gun doesn’t like Tree Rats either. Proven. With a name like Varmint what else would you expect.
IMO everyone should e-mail Walthers and BEG for them to bring back the LGU and the LGV. Don’t have a LGV or ever shot one. But bet a dime to a dollar it would be a gem.
I know some of you are lucky to have one or two of these. LGU and LGV. Let’s see them. Great rifle Crow

Thank you sir.

I have a weakness for Walthers, vintage 10 meter match Walthers specifically.
The LGV Master was purchased first, and the LGU was purchased when they introduced them later on.
I should have bought 2 of each........🤦‍♂️
They are spectacular rifles!
Another 5 minutes I’m going to ask you to stop.
Of all my rifles my LGU was my most memorable to shoot out of box.
Walthers workmanship is superior.

I don’t see many older rifles but I scored this gem. The older rifles rule. Crow

The LGU and LGV were love/hate airguns when introduced. Hate won as they were a dud. You couldn't give them away for 375 in the end.
The FWB Sport went the same route.
Now....like Van Halen sang....everybody wants some!!! Go figure.
IMO...they were very fine rifles introduced in a pcp sales blitz.

My 2 cents

If you can get me a LGU and LGV I’ll gladly take one in every cal. they make. Crow
I believe that your reasoning is spot on John.

I warned you all previously that I suffer from a weakness for Walther 10 meter rifles...

That is a beautiful LGR Running Target model Crow, great grab on that one for sure! (y)
Never even had the slightest hint anything like what you have existed. Wow. You have to like that. I’d be broke if I lived in the US. That’s one smokin’ collection. Thanks for showing. Crow

I only own one Walther, it’s the Walther LGV Challenger Ultra in 22cal. I purchased it new about 6 years ago. At that time I recall they were still available in the land of Aus. The gun shop owner wanted to know if I wanted the 177 cal as he believed it was more powerful. The 22 cal was advertised at 24 joule, plenty of power for pests and plinking in my world.
The only thing I have done to it was to do the longer trigger fix. If you look carefully at the front of the trigger you’ll see the longer screw. I wanted the polyurethane stock as I used it almost entirely down at our creek and I didn’t want scratches dings etc on a wooden stock from lantana and barbed wire fencing.
Anyway here she is Crow.

Hey Gary, good to hear from you. We’re starting to get your warm weather. Don’t mind the warmth, don’t like the bugs that come with it, nasty so far this year. I actually shoot a lot more in the winter.
Your LGV is a beauty. I don’t mind the poly stock, same as my Varmint. Thanks for sharing. Crow

Im not a fan of bugs either. I don’t know if you have them in Canada they are called Scotch Greys here. Big buggers about 8 mil long. When we are hunting out west on my mates property they land on your back and bite you through your shirt, even when you are standing in the back of the Ute whilst driving they swarm behind you until they catch up.

Don’t like the sounds of them. Our Deer and Horse flies bite through shirt and socks. Another cool day windy, no bugs. 👍
‘Right now , we have Black flies, they swarm you. For a few more weeks. I don’t get them bad I’m on limestone. Across lake, it’s granite. They will eat you alive. Very small fly. I live in woods, mosquito’s are serious.
Come June Deer flies, dirty, very stealth, they don’t have legs, they land with their teeth.
I spray for spiders. Best thing ever. No webs on any buildings.
In winter I shoot nearly every day, sometimes 2-3 hours daily. I haven’t shot 2 hrs. this week. Busy on tractor. Crow

Shame shame. I would crawl a mile over broken glass on my hands and knees for a chance at one. Crow
I know nothing about Walther air guns. I went to their website and they only have very high end olympic guns. I do have a Walther Pb (PPS) thats very nice reliable pistol.
I think you want the Walthers made in Germany. I have 3 and they are all superb. Crow
