I bought one in .22 about a year ago...they were scarce then, they seem to be getting scarce again. Were I a dude or dudette lusting after one, I would not procrastinate.
Mine was rock solid and extremely accurate right out of the box. However, after a few hundred rounds, it began to twang and vibrate. I used Tune In A Tube for the win. After it did this a couple more times, off it went to Motorhead for the permanent win!
When it came back, it was even smoother than before, and so much quieter! I've never been trigger picky, so whatever the trigger is on a rifle, that's what it is! So the LGU's trigger doesn't bother me...but it does slightly to a very learned friend of mine who has shot it. Oh well...iggerance is bliss, as they say. Doesn't bother me.
These are VERY fine rifles. I am fortunate to own the Big Four of Underlever Rifles...the LGU, an HW97K...Diana 460...and the TX200. I'm only talkin' about the big four that are commonly available now, were we to consider those of the past, then it would be the Big Four of Some Other Number, I'm certain.
My parting words...if you want one, buy now.
