Some may want to look into a lower magnification version of this Leupold 4.4-14x50mm for $679.99 https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1362173644?pid=936654

Reviewers claim the turrets are MOA and the etched reticle is in mil-dots. There are 150+ reviews on the site and a few reviews warn of this. May be this is the reason for the low price.

I had a MK 4 on my .308 rifles back in 1996. There a good scope with god glass, but there older tech. That is why the price blow out.

In 1996 I paid $1200. That was big money on a scope back then. We enjoy a lot of good manufacturing tech that was limited back then.

Now there are lots of scopes with clear glass and lots of features like zero stops, illuminated reticles,30/34mm tubes, good locking turrets and lots of reticle designs .

And at much lower price points.

Its a good scope, but there are better ones for the cash now...I sold my fixed 10x a few years ago.
