Fox Squirrel season ended here in Michigan March 31st but red squirrels and chipmunks are always in season! Not to mention if you get a springer range woodchuck in the cross hairs .20 cal. all custom HW97 for me!

Nope we have little red squirrels up here too.
About the same size as your grays down that way! Fast moving noisy suckers that will castrate a fox squirrel in their territory! Mean little bastards that get shot every chance I get. Here's one that didn't get away!
