Hol-E-heck, sure as heck sort of looks like a Mink but that thing is huge, never heard of them. Off to Wikipedia I go....And.....they rarely kill cats, as in very rarely, also rarely small dogs. Apparently we have them in Calif. Where they are being killed by the illegal marijuana farms use of toxic herbicides. They can go after Porcupines. Males run up to 14# Females are much smaller.

I believe it's the largest weasel in N. America. Not something to mess with apparently. I've seen them from about 100yds away. They are big!
