Leshiy rises velocity right before regulator drops

It’s easier to knock the valve open now that there is less pressure holding it closed. Therefore you get more lift and dwell, meaning more air consumption.

Always dial the hammer spring tension to 95 - 97% of the maximum velocity to give yourself the best opportunity for consistent velocity. Then try making changes if you feel adventurous.

For the velocity I want I have to lower the regulator even more.

I'm cranking so much the HST that the striker is already way out (photo bellow) and I cant rise more the velocity. But it doesn't drop either.

What about now.

After reducing the pressure in the regulator, I backed the HST 36 clicks. Did some shooting tests this afternoon, and the results are the following ones:





Regarding the values in the yellow cells I am led to think that the weight of the pellets is the main reason. As you can see air consumption in each shot is almost the same.
