Leshiy question

Hi I have the leshiy in 22 it was very accurate , I then got the longer barrel and huma regulator for higher shot count and more power if I need it as it .I love the way it shoots now ,I did a trigger mod and put wood grips , I can say i have about 15,000 pellets threw mine and I never even had so much as a breech seal go ,I can take it apart to clean in minutes and it is very rugged , as far as accuracy I found with mine My most accuracy with jsb pellets is 27fpe and i run my regulator at 91 bar . ok If I wanted to I can set reg at 150 bar and crank up hst and get prob 40s fpe , but with me anyway , I cant get groups as tight as the harmonics play a roll in it .

As far as noise , when it is set like mine is all I hear is the hammer hit the valve so quiet , and it is repeatable I know from 300 bar to 90 bar , I can hold dead on at 50 yards and 100 yards is 4.6 mils and this caliber is accurate at 100 yards , at 150 yards the drop is like almost 12 mils so it becomes a bit more difficult .

I have not tried any other calibers , I did buy an adapter for a moderator I was going to make a slug barrel in a different caliber but never got around to do it with the other guns I been shooting at the time .

I have the .177 and .22 250mm barrels. I kept mine short for the reason I got it. Having something compact. It is an accurate little shooter and I have taken it out to a bit more then 80 yards in both barrels. Honestly I was surprised that the .177 did so well at that distance. I do prefer the .22 just because it hits harder then the .177. I was thinking about getting the .25 250mm barrel but I feel the projectile speed is a bit to slow and I do not want to get the longer barrel adding to the length. Again, I like it due to its compact size. If I need to really reach out with an airgun I grab my .25 Vulcan. Anyway I have not added the huma regulator or even adjusted the edgun reg in it. Im getting about 16 shots from a 250 bar fill before it drops off the reg. There are some youtube videos where guys are really stretching the range out on the Leshiy. That might help you a bit. From what I have seen so far I was not overly impressed with the long range shots past 100 yards.

I started with the 22 then over time I got the 17,25 and 25 long. I use the gun for plinking and hiking/hunting. The 22 I like for plinking and the 25 for hunting. I’ll use the 17 for plinking if I’m shooting in a area where I know there are no small game opportunities like in my basement or at a range. The slightly better range I get from the the longer barrel while functional it takes away the backpack ability of the gun if your planning on using it at a backpack gun remember to get a small air bottle to pack with it I use the black Benjamin model.

Well, before I got new chronographs my setup with the 350mm barrel and 25.39gr JSBs was set to 28FPE. My first >100y day with it was at 112-115y, and it grouped very well for me.

Afterwards, I looked down range through my scope and saw several orange clay pigeons that someone had setup as still targets in a bush. Out of the dozen or so, I may have missed twice. I ranged them at 130y.

Right now, I'm setup for 43FPE, which gives me 11 shots. I can always dial it down if I need to, however I just bought a new Great White. I'm planning to do another long range session this weekend, now that the sun has reappeared.

I have a 350MM .22 barrel on the way, but I'm also looking to get a custom slug barrel soon. I think it would be capable of spitting out slugs with a long barrel.

The standard Huma has been installed since day #2 in my Leshiy.

I'd say it depends on what you're shooting?
For me because I shoot Doves, Rats, and Minah Birds the .22 is perfect!
.177 is too small of a caliber for any distance shooting in light winds. More suited for indoor Barns and rats.

.25 would be a waste IMHO to sling so much lead at small game.

But look at what ever you choose as just the starting caliber.
The Leshiy can be anything you want it to be!

I agree with this though I have had great luck with the .177. I cant factor in the winds so much with because I never ran into a day where the wind was blowing much with that caliber. I do think that getting the caliber you think that you will ideally want then just go from there. For me it was .22 then I picked up .177 soon after. Took a good number of pest birds with it. In the end I went back to .22. I personally think its the best round for that platform. Just my opinion.

Thanks guys, so Brian would you compare the accuracy of the .22 the same as the .25 at 75-100 yards? mthGhost good info on the power and accuracy of the .25 give me a heads up when you get the 22barrel if you would thanks Elbowgrease cool video thanks for sharing.

If the Leshiy is properly sighted in the accuracy between 22 &25 are close but the heavier pellet will do better in a cross wind.
