I was shooting my 177, 350mm LC this morning into some duct seal stuck on a tree at 100y. It’s my favorite gun at the moment, largely cause I can pick up from a week long rest and rely on hitting the mark first shot. No reg creep, POI shifts or other nonsense (unlike many of my otherwise great shooting FXs). It’s also super quiet with an STO insert and sounds like opening a can of soda. As I’ve reported before, it gained a new lease of life when I discovered Zan 10 grain slugs, which it shoots MOA to 110y and more. It’s my go to for rats in my chicken coop at 80y and is 14/14 on headshots.

This morning I was shooting a group at 100y (as I do every day) and suddenly a nutter appeared to investigate what was then a 7 shot group. It sniffed at the duct seal block and then moved its head out of the way to observe the final shot. Whadduknow, for the first time in forever, I just happened to have a flier that caught it perfectly in the center of an X intersecting the ears and eyes. Really odd given that the group is so tight. 😳. Unfortunate for the nutter but the hawks nesting nearby will appreciate the free meal.
