Leshiy 2 quick tunes with puck changes?

Knowing that the L2 is a complete different beast to the standardized reg/hammer style pcp, I try to ease my confusion sometimes by comparing different parts of the system to the pcp knowledge I have. Reg is a reg, but jets to change dwell of the valve I often compare to the hammer preload. So that being said, am I right in saying that size of pucks I can correlate to transfer port adjustments? Like on certsin fox guns where you can turn a dial to restrict the transfer port size and lower power. Brocock, air arms, Karl, they all seem to use this function to make a “quick adjust” power system. This way, if I want to dial my gun down for a night of ratting, I could just swap out the puck size and be ready to go, instead of playing with reg and jet sizes. I understand that just like the guns listed, it’s not the ideal way to control power. The “tune” won’t be as efficient, but again, it would be more for a speedy setup.

The puck is the transfer port. So tautologically, yes, they're the same thing.

I tend not to touch the puck. Keep it wide open all the time. You have all the adjustments you need with the regulator and a jet kit.

Changing the puck can give you some quick adjustment options. I've gone the route of having two stocks for the Leshiy. One for lower-power situations, and the other for high-power situations. Most of the time I have one for 15-20 grain .22 pellets, the other for 40+ grain .22 slugs. But sometimes I set it up for .30 cal, when out at the range.

From my understanding the pucks only divert the air away from the pellet. They can change the velocity, but the amount of air used is the same. The air is then expelled near the shooter, likely making it louder, because the air is not being distributed within the moderator.

So from all the comments, the answer is pretty much no. I knew the air use age wouldn’t go down with the lower power, but if it’s going to blow out more air by my face AND be louder, then there’s really no point. I was hoping for an easy low power setup for night ratting, and that would mean quieter too. Oh well!

Yeah that's what I found too it was louder and used the similar amount of air as the bigger ports.

What I found is that the .22 way more difficult working with vs .25.
Couple days ago I was swapping jets at my gun range for first time.
The smaller # jets blows way too much air at the muzzle making the projectile tumble, the bigger # jets blows the excess air out on the mufflers right into my face and eyes.
The Leshiy2 "valve" by default is on - most power.

Hi guys........I just changed my jet last night from .4 x2 — to — .2x2, the reg it’s in 120–125ish
However I didn’t see to much of a difference in FPS then I changed again to .3x2 and I put the reg at 140 so it went from 800 to 840 FPS , so according to EDGUN instructions they recommend not to go over 160 on the reg, so I set the reg to 157 and it was loud and I got 870FPS , I’m using JSB redesign 25gn 22.cal . L2 with alpha barrel 350.

Do you have the repr(ear) regulator? If so, the reg can be taken much higher than that. You will also have the restriction collar and dogbone in your valve. When I removed mine, with factory 1.2mmx2 jets at 150b reg, I jumped from 850fps with hades to 960fps with same pellet. With what you’re experiencing, I believe that’s your problem!

You'll make your life much easier if you only change one thing at a time. i.e. change the jets but not the reg, then the reg but not the jets, etc.

It helps debug your situation.

Thank you very much, I’ll open it today to see I have the collar and dog bone, I bough my gun originally in 25.cal so if not mistaken there’s no collar and bone in 25/30.cal by factory I remember the video from the Russian guy but I got my gun from EDGUN West which is in Cali so maybe they install those pieces, 🤔 will see, thanks

Correct. Only .177 and .22
