N/A Leopard or mora

I would go with the Mora as it has a 125cc plenum vs the Leopard's 54cc plenum. Someone else could probably weigh in on the plenum size argument though, I'm not sure just how much plenum is recommended for shooting 40gr .22 slugs.

Otherwise I think it'll come down to if you like the cocking lever on the left or right and the safety on the leopard looks to be farrr more convenient than the Mora's. The safety on the Mora is like one of the biggest weak points in my opinion.

Mora compact (9 lbs) 30.9"
Standard (9.7 lbs) 34.8"
Sniper (10 lbs) 38.8"

Leopard compact (6.6 lbs) 27.2"
Standard (7.6 lbs) 31.7"
Sniper (7.9 lbs) 35.6"

Intended use should help decide for you. If weight is a concern then rti might not be ideal. My fx panthera was damn near 22lr loud with the factory shroud so the Leopard might need a moderator to be as quiet as the mora without moderator at the same power levels. I've seen both brands have accurate guns. I feel like fx is more of a crap shoot in the barrel lottery, but its easy to swap liners if needed. I vote for the mora, but thats just because I didnt like my fx panthera.

Good luck. Hopefully you are happy with whatever you choose.

I currently have a Leopard and just sold my Mora Compact, both were .22cal. Here is my 2 cents.....
Mora 500mm
  • Any slug will fit in magazine
  • Quiet for power level
  • Did not like 500mm Barrel but nothing else was available, had to have way high reg pressure to get over the 900fps range.
  • Stupid place for the safety, This is a pet peeve for me since the FX Maverick purchase way back when.
  • I would get a good tune ( Sub Moa ) and then next session would go to 1.25" groups. Dwell ended up not working and found the reg was assembled with thrust washers upside and not the amount of Bellville washers that was suppose to be there.
  • Before I bought it customer service was suppose to be superb. When I needed support there were a lot of issues happening and support from Eastern US Dealer and Factory was non existent. This is why I sold the gun.
  • Not a pack around hunting gun
  • Left hand cocking lever sucks for using a squeeze bag. Sometimes the left side lever is ok but found several places I preferred the right side and could not change.
  • Good trigger
Leopard 700 with Bottle
  • It will hold a 40GR Rebated Boat Tail but its at the max length.
  • I have a good moderator and it is reasonably quiet for power level
  • Easy to Tune to 34gr and 40gr RBT slugs
  • It will shoot MOA out to 200yd - the is the farthest I have tested so far
  • It is only a 230 Bar Fill - Only option is a Carbon Fiber Air Tube to get to 250Bar but is not available yet- Lots of air storage with bottle but only at 230bar so not impressed with the shot count. Would be great if it was 300Bar fill........
  • Safety in the correct spot
  • Its a bit heavy but will work for pack around hunting gun
  • Good trigger

Isn’t the leopard easier to tune though
My leopard (it’s the second one, first one was replaced after two failed attempts to repair and get it to shoot even remotely consistent) is ok to tune but only feels comfortable veeeery close to and almost on the plateau. Gonna experiment a bit more to see whether it’s me or the gun but best I could do so far is ES 12 and SD around 3. Mora is super simple.
