Leofoto mini tripod

I just purchased one of these, does anyone know where you can get a quick connect adaptor for it to mount to a picatinny rail? Thanks

There are a variety of options. The search term for that clamp you're looking for is Arca Swiss, so googling for something like "arca swiss to picatinny rail."

The background behind this, if you're curious, is that there is a company Arca Swiss who makes the finest monoball tripod heads out there. They are special because the balls aren't round, but are actually oval, so you get more resistance the further over you lean the head. The result is that you can set it to one tension, and then wherever you place your camera it'll both stay (rather than fall over) and will be as easy to move as possible. Slick system. They created that rail standard on these monoballs, and it was so successful it basically became the default in the camera world and beyond. The shooting world has been slow to catch on, but you're finally starting to see chassis systems which come with integral arca swiss rails.

Word of warning though: in order to work well, you're going to want/need the tripod to be mounted under the rifle's center of gravity. If it isn't, it'll work like crap. (your rifle, and maybe the tripod as well, will simply fall over) This is harder on airguns than you might think, because we tend to have a whole bunch of gauges and fill hardware and such around the CG typically. So you might want to take a quick look at this and consider what options and hardware will be necessary to mount this under your center of gravity before picking a specific mount adapter.

I hope that helps mate. :)
