Lelya & Matador - More droop compensation?

Hi All,

I'll may be putting a cantilever scope mount on the Lelya & Matador soon. (Guns are on the way as a his/hers Christmas gift.) My question is the 30 minutes of droop compensation built into the gun enough? I can get cantilever mounts with another 20 minutes or just a parallel mount. Since I've not any trigger time on either gun yet, any help would be appreciated so I can order appropriate mounting hardware.

Thanks,

Nugria

I wanted to use a low cantilever Mount. This is the Nightforce A109 with the NX8 2.5-20X. It sits low. I really like it... it fits. The mount has added comp and it is no issue at all with this optic.

Std mounts fine for this gun EDs guns are designed rite and made well , I zero all my edguns at 50 yards ,and I use 0 moa or mil mounts and rings ,

my R-5 with my pm2 has 24 mils of turret adjustment

SO think about it , with a 44.5 jsb , you can dial 22 mils and hit 250 yards

Now with a 52 grain slug , and higher bc , If I cranked 22 mils I can hit 350 yards ,

this is with out using the reticle for hold over and that has another 27 mils@8x

SO well beyond range of ammo

,same thing with my leshiy , my lelya , my R5m , all of them has more adjustment then ammo can shoot ,

I think unless you use a very poor scope you will be fine ,

I even use red dots sometimes and low power scopes and dedal , I never needed more adjustment ,

Now I can say with my fx wildcat , my fx royale and my hatsan they did need adjustable mounts , But thy have 0 degree rails , even my airforce I had to use a 40moa rail to shoot long range ,
