Lelya 2.0 Bi-pod, hand grip, or just a bean-bag to rest it on?

For testing various settings on the Lelya, I use a bipod.

My home made adapter is a piece of 5/8 inch wood dowel and a strip of wood to fit the 2 inch magpul rail. Using a 5/8 spade bit to put a hole in the wood strip, the dowel can be secured with good old Gorilla Glue. Two flat head wood screws hold the pic rail.

The dowel fits the hole in the grip without modification. It is a bit loose but since it sits on the bench, that is not a problem. I know this is not high tech but it serves the purpose for which I need.

Use your hands...off-hand shoot it.

That's how mine is shot.

Mike, I'm 76...I can't hold my drain hose steady when I'm trying to tap a kidney...it's even worse at night, when I can't see, and my point of impact is determined mostly by the sound of water being splashed!!!

"Shaking" is a natural disorder of aging. The lube zerks on your joints wear out, you get corrosion, carbon build-up, rust, and your control cables have broken strands and a lot of slop between the linkage!

So a steady rest is handy to have around.

Just trying to help. It is a hack, but it works well and is 100% reversible without any mods to the gun. The PVC spacer ensures the clamp load is on the O/E stock aluminum bushing. The M-Lock rail centers very well in the ID of the spacer. All is held perpendicular to the chassis so the bold is only in tension. The spacer is snug but not tight and is simple 1/2” PVC. I’d prefer aluminum... but it is what I had at the time.
