Left hand friendly bullpups?

Zonk, I agree, the Vulcans are great pups and lefty friendly. I also like the Taipans and not just because the sidelever is switchable, they are great pups.

starlingassn, thank you for the Bullboss suggestion. I actually think the R5M is left hand friendly option. The new design has the mag further back and I believe out of the way. Although Ed shoots left handed previous R3M did not suit me.

It's crazy to me that Ed (EdGun) and Fredrik (FX) both shoot Southpaw but don't readily offer a true lefty gun. Although, I think the R5M might be a winner for Southpaws if that mag is back enough and forward cocking on both sides is just awesome!

Crickets are not good for me in stock form but I modify the sidelevers and love them (see picture).

I shoot the Kral Bull Pup leftie. I like the right hand lever even more than I would a left side lever. I have shot righty bolt guns for 20+ years and I am quite used to the action. I tried a left handed bolt gun at the range and it was not comfortable to me. Kral has a slightly rear cocking lever, opposed to the FX which is forward, and the edgun, which is all the way at the rear.

Right sided powder burner Bull Pips are a no-go for me - I like my teeth where they are :)

zx10, I was wondering looking at your cricket if you ever had tried that top cover on a veteran? I don’t know how dimensionally the same they are as I don’t have a cricket. I’ve thought in the past of buying one, if you can, and hacking it up try just to keep my cheek off of cold steel in the winter months. I’ve seen and read about other guys wanting the same. I don’t even know how they are attached on the crickets. Sorry for the off topic question.

I don't know much about FX, never used it, but as for R3M it was, in fact more comfortable for left handed shooter rather thaa for the right one. And those of right handed shooters who understand that asked me to make the bolt on the other side, for them :)

Hello Ed, I like the R3 but the R3M I just couldn’t get comfy with. My head placement for cheek-weld and scope height puts the mag at my mouth. I’ve seen you shoot it lefty and do it quite proficiently. You shot 3 consecutive 10 shot groups from 50m I believe. All on video and all about 1/2” groups in about 45 seconds 😲

The Cricket cheek-piece wouldn’t fit a Taipan. Someone should do a 3d printed cheek piece for then Taipans and EdGuns.

Zx10wall,

You seem to work well w/ metal & all. You can try to make a cocking handle like this for the Mutant's. I powercoated this handle. I'm thinking about stripping her & cerakoting her.

Placing a c/f sticker over the Mutant action can help keep the cold off your cheek a lil bit.

Nice job there my friend. Looks great.

I owned a wildcat and had no trouble shooting it left handed, it was nice actually having the lever on the right side of the gun. Airfective tuning I think offers a left handed wildcat cheek piece if the sharp edge bothers you (it never bothered me). Never used an R5M but don't they have the cocking lever on each side? If so no issue there and also Ed is left handed and gets along fine with his own guns. Even my R3M with the rear bolt was easy to operate after getting used to it. You know as a lefty you always adapt!😉
