Leapers/UTG customer service

Unbelievable service.
I have an old bug buster scope, all of a sudden the cross hairs are canted. I contact Leapers customer service department and fill out the online form. A couple days later I receive a return email requesting a couple of pics of the scope and one with the serial number. Did that and the same day I get a return authorization number, that was on Tuesday the 3rd. The scope went out on Wednesday the 4th by way of USPS. Now Leapers is pretty local to me, about 30 miles. I figured they would see it Saturday.. Well guess again...got there today the 5th. I also received an email at 1:30 pm stating that their warranty department completed their inspection and issued a replacement. IT GETS BETTER at 2:15 pm I get another email from Leapers with FedEx tracking numbers. WHAT THE HECK this is crazy fast service.

The other day someone posted there wasn't a service center in the US. I was going to say something then but I didn't even though I had been there years ago. I tell ya these guys are upping the game on optics with their OP3 line of scopes and their customer service.

Thanks all for reading, and thank you Leapers for unbelievable service and also to USPS for getting it there so quickly.

Just out of curiosity, where are they located? I’m in Michigan as well.

I am curious as to how long the scope lasted. What model / type airgun was it on? I bought 4 Leapers scopes this summer and though they certainly don't have the clarity of a Sightron S-Tac, for the money I am happy. One of them is on a Diana 54, the rest on fairly inexpensive PCP guns.

Geezer
That scope was a 3-9 Bug Buster, had red and green illumination on the left side. Was probably 15 years old, came on a used gift gun. Has been on nearly every gun I've ever owned. Buy a new gun and this scope gets put on it until I decide what I want to mount up. Including this one I have 5 UTG/Leapers scopes. Two are 3-12x44 swat, one with etched glass and one wire. And two 3-12x44 OP-3s. Way better glass than the old swat styles.

Trucker
Like I said to Geezer, the OP3 scopes have really nice glass and a MOA reticle. I just wish they illuminated the entire reticle rather than just the center cross hairs. They are a great bang for the buck. I also try to spend my money locally.

I can't believe they received, inspected and sent out a replacement all in the same day. That's service.
If you guys ever go shooting at Pontiac Lake rec area let me know, I'll be there.

Jim. Dam they just flat out stole your scope, Its a cheap scope but its still theft..
I would make it a point to write and call once a week or so,,,
I would pester them until they made it right..
Mike
You gotta” Andy Dufrane” them. Send an email a week !

I’ve had good success with UTG Leapers scopes. Great quality for the price good tough overall builds

Methinks the old Leapers might have done it better than the new UTG.

Well your name is on the supervisor’s wall now. Make a few more claims and they will cut you off.
And never tell them you put it on a springer!
They told me that only the Bug and True Hunters can be put on a springer.

I hav head two Accu whatever’s fail, and the last time I had to pick things that came to = value.
Ok, I took a Bug and a Hunter.
The hunter failed on a non springer.
The Bug works, and as about the only small scope that focuses at really close range, I am stuck with it.
The question is, what to get when I send the hunter back? I sure don’t want another one.

Pumper, but that isn’t the point. I have found them to be less than adequate. Had a Bugbuster two years ago that wouldn’t hold zero on a c02. That went back to Amazon in less than two weeks.
I am 1/5 with them. Although features and visual clarity is on par or skittle above the price, I do not find value in them.
Yet the 2-7 Vantage has survived throughout, even on the springer that killed the Accushot.
Small sample, but my experience non the less.

I did learn from that and it wears an Airmax now.

Bought my original Bug Buster back in 2007. Just added another one. They are very good quality. Some were critical of the mil dot reticle but I never had and issue.
