Can copper bullets be shot through a large bore air rifle without damaging the barrel?

In California all pellets used for hunting must be lead free and 30 caliber or larger. Does anyone know of any manufactures who make large bore ammo for air rifles or of it copper slugs could be used?

That's news to me regarding only 30 caliber lead free AIRGUN hunting in Cali...

Yes, I was told by Fish and Game I have to use a 30 cal or larger for coyote or larger game. I own a wildlife control service and this is what I had to comply with.

Crossbow? Or a CENTERFIRE rifle? I can't see how a light weight lead free 30 caliber pellet (thats probably not even available yet) can possibly be humane for Coyote or larger.

Whoever you talked to is misinformed. Lead pellets CAN be used for hunting in Ca and they don’t have to be .30 cal or larger. The regulations are online.
