Probably been shown before, but this was the first time I had seen them when cleaning out my pellet trap this morning. 'Lead Flowers'. I guess from shooting a longer chrono string at the same point.

They really are pretty cool and can be beautiful. They’re fun to make too.
One day when cleaning up at our range, picking up the pounds of lead, the boys found a few of these. The boys thought they were really cool. All of the ones we had found were broken, oddly shaped or had something wrong with them though. We wanted a bunch that were perfect, like little flowers. We set out with a mission, to make a bunch of them that were symmetrical, beautiful and looked like little flowers...We took a piece of plate steel to the range, shot it over and over and over, making all kinds of “lead flowers” to give mom for Mother’s Day. They turned out great, mom loved our lead flower project! Alex, Cooper and I had a blast looking though all of the pellets and slugs to find the good ones, most importantly, it was another fun shooting activity that the boys and I had a blast doing together. For me, that’s what it’s all about!

I’ve made some really cool looking ones shooting at spinners with the HW30. Right combination of power, speed, and impact surface. Literally like a little flower.

I've seen these before with single pellets or bullets. I shoot Cowboy Action and we only use unjacketed lead bullets, and shoot at steel plates, so we make a lot of little flowers.
But this is the first time I've seen stacked ones. The big one looks to be about 15 pellets, the little one maybe 4-5.

I say paint them up real purdy drill a small hole in them hang with some fishing line. Then it’s bullet meet target to bullet meet bullet.

SDellinger, that's an odd squash pattern- do you think it tumbled and smacked into the metal fence post sideways?

I think it skipped off the concrete after going through the cardboard target and hit the square metal fence post and landed back in front of the gate where I found it.
