LDC moderators

question to one and all... moderators i have an fx impact 25 caliber i use a donny fl emperor and a sumo I do not notice a difference in noise level between the two any thoughs opinions would be helpful

had the same experience, it is definitely law of diminishing returns. the sumo apparently muffles the sound as much as it can be. no moderator will make a gun completely silent. as for what you see in movies-that's fabricated. but i was glad to find out for myself for sure.

Biggest difference I have seen in moderators is getting the exit hole as close to the caliber as possible. This seems like common sense but some LDC companies make mods that fit .22/.25 in one mod, which means the hole is made for a .25cal but will work on a .22cal . When I went to a .22cal mod there was a noticeable difference.

Hookster is on it. Even the original Bemman 16mm for the R series came in cal. specific sizes/

Folks in the US seem to be the only airgunners in the world who do not acknowledge that inner dia is everything. If the nest size up in cal. will even come close to going through any baffle , esp. the end cap you are using the wrong unit for the desired goal. Yes they can be click quit just not with for the masses ( people and rigs ) tolerances.

While I agree about the inner dia of the suppressors being as close to the pellet caliber as possible,
when it came time to order my RONIN, I went with a .25 cal version even though it was going on .22 cal rifles..
Why? Only because I planned on getting a few .25 cal setups also, so, I figured I'd kill a few birds with one stone..
When I threw the .25 RONIN on my .22 Gladius, .22 Puncher Breaker, and .22 Nemesis, I still noticed a Considerable difference!
Sound levels most definitely dropped. I'm shooting indoors, and was used to loud shots and echos in the room.. Not anymore..
The Nemesis is going to be converted to .25 soon, so I can still use the RONIN on it - Though I grabbed an EMPEROR V3 .25 version just in case..
Now, both suppressors will work with all of my rifles now and in the future, as I really don't plan on going above .25 cal. [Yet]

I'll definitely have to compare the Emperor mod on the Nemesis in both .22 and .25 cal to see if I can detect a noticeable difference..
[By ear, as I don't have a DB meter on hand]
