LCS Air Arms Lcs sk-19 again

Well I sold an Akela and a Gladius recently and decided to invest the proceeds on a Sk-19. Because you know.... something different. So it shows up and it works flawlessly for one magazine worth. The next mag is 50/50 failure to cycle. Figures. I'm not too concerned having studied as much as I could find on the mechanics of the sk19. Easy fix.... right.

So I tear it down and find the hand spring has failed. That is one tiny A$$ spring. I'm going to bend a few different orientations of this spring to maybe come up with something more reliable and easier to change. I also note my version has the earlier AEG type grip mount.... whatever. So now I'm ordering some aluminum stock to make a couple of AR grip adapters and .015 spring wire.

I proceeded to snoop around the rest of the receiver block taking note of the all the differences of my version relative to all the various examples. I've noticed different rate of fire adjustment port or the two piece trigger link or the power adjuster setup. Lots of variations. The mechanics of this platform is really very simple.

I'm wondering if the receiver safety actually blocks the first valve from moving ....it doesn't look like it. The safety only blocks the trigger.

I'm also truing the barrel breech for the closest possible gap with the pellet cylinder. More to follow.....

This was easy to get back in the game....a portion of an oring lodged in the hand socket enabled functionality. I'll see how long the oring lasts.
I took the whole thing apart just for visuals and reassembled....no leaks no suprises.

So here's the results of my rubegoldberg fix.....38 perfect cycles. Only down 30bar....

Using hatsan 24.7 25 burner pellets:

One mag:

19 shots
599 min
613 max
607 ave
16.3 spd
4.7 std dev

On absolute lowest power

You definitely sound like the right kind of individual (creative & inquisitive), and that you have the right mindset for getting and living with an orphaned gun.

More power to you, and I wish you luck and fun in your journey. Will be interesting to see how things continue to progress. Maybe take some folks off the fence, and into the purchase of an SK-19 of their own!
