Figured I'd share, dunno how normal this is or not. Changed the oil at 5 hours, only have filled using the Coltri stuffs. Looks like Copper Hydroxide which makes sense due to high temp and probably moisture getting into the oil. Oil on the dip looked golden instead of transparent like usual. Oil in the sight glass had a tan tint to it. The full ~300mL drained was a dark forest green/olive drab color.
Did some research:
"Green slime formation in the oil caused during high temperature operation and moisture in the system
attacking the copper components. Copper compounds then become soluble with the oil and the moisture further
hydrolyses the oil to form copper hydroxide. Oil viscosity is severely affected."
Poured the oil out before taking the picture but I'm a bit color blind so I checked with the wife and she exclaimed "That's absolutely green!". Didn't have the foresight to snap a picture ealier. Greener to my eyes than to the phone camera as well.
Normal? Not normal? At the moment I figure normal but I have no prior history to base it on. I figure normal since this isn't a closed hermetically sealed system like an HVAC compressor.
