Latest gx cs4

Well I just got a CS4 with a build date of 3/15/25 and it already incorporates the radiator rotation mod. They also put a protection diode across the motor leads. I noticed this during an hour meter install. I'm impressed with this compressor especially at 495$ to the door from GX. That's for the external power supply version of course. Hoping for long-term success with this compressor.

You did a great job with that. I'd like to see hour meters come standard. I'd love to install one but have no idea what to do. I keep a minute log on my phone instead. slightly tedious but it works
I have been successfully using one of these.
Currently at 67 hours without missing a beat
No wiring required
The meter starts running when the compressor starts
Sensitivity can be set so that when running the fan only the meter does not clock the time
It is attached to a magnet using the double stick tape provided and the magnet attached to the CS-4 case

just my too seconds

Where did you attach it on the case and did you have to find a sweet spot?

I put it on the back of the chassis near the piston tower. A hand nibbler is perfect for clean holes in sheet metal. The metal chassis was about the limit for a hand nibbler tho' .

I like the analog guage and wiring was simple; just a sacrificial usb cable with bare leads pushed thru the spade connector holes on the board where the motor power and negative leads land. Literally no spicing. The leads to the meter itself will need the spade connectors soldered cause the usb wire is like 32 gauge.

I kinda want one of these for my car! Would be interesting to see hours logged for the year, and overall.
