Last full day at my permission before the move

Today was really the last day I could screw off before I make the move for the new job in the Seattle area, next Wednesday I head north west. Also, I picked up some donuts from Amazing Glaze in Pocatello, best in town and a price to match, almost $18 / dozen. The farmer and his men appreciate the treat, and it is more than worth the hours of enjoyment, plus I know I have a happy farmer because of pest reduction.

I went out for about 5 hours, jumping between the stockyard and dairy. Upon arrival to the stockyard saw the owner and his son. I brought over the donuts and we chatted before I went off to setup for the day.

My plan was to make a real YouTube video and so i spent time doing the usual set up film etc. The doves and pigeons were kind of scarce to start, but slowly things picked up. Over the day, I got around 10 doves, making for a happy red tailed hawk and magpies.

Towards the end of the day I saw a “haystack cat” so I collected some of the doves and left them for the cat.

Over the next few days I will work on the video and post once it is ready. The basic them will be a journey etc. Not sure where exactly I will go with my channel, however, I will do my best.

@Blackpaw 5 hours! That sounds like a full day. Good that you were able to take some time before making your move. If you have time to pest outside of your new job, you may find dairies in your area in Washington. I recall smelling a lot of them driving through there. Not sure where they are located in relation to the big city.

I want to see this video. 10 doves ought to give you enough footage to work with in your editing program to make a decent final video.

Thanks @qball and @ezana4ce, I’ll find a gun club and etc to start establishing my street cred. Also I grew up around farmers and etc so I know how to speak with them, generally most places I go I get access. Yeah I saw they limit use of airguns on game animals but I’ll use my shotguns for game birds and they are a shall issue ccw state so not cali there.

I know I’m spoiled with a permission so close and I know I’ll have to travel longer to get access but life and the journey along the way.

Hope everything will pan out really well for you up there in the North - east.

Even in this tiny country i live in there are significant changes in attitude from region to region, even if they are at best 2-300 Km apart ( 130 / 180 mi ) even dialects could be a huge problem here, but they are dying fast these days, but when i was a kid there was people in this country i was barely able to understand. :)

But country folks do tend to be more in sync, it is the damn city folks that are the problem, well here at least.
