Laser Bore Sighters

I just got one even though opinions vary so much about their effectiveness. For twenty bucks I figured if nothing else then my cat has a new toy. Basically it's to sight in my .50cal out of my back window so that I can get it on paper with maybe two shots. While there is nothing behind me I still don't want to shoot that cannon too much to worry the neighbors. I'm sure that there is a setup and learning curve to use one so I'm going with the thought that some guys just bought one, shoved it down the muzzle and it didn't work out for them.

I use them from 25ft to get my guns close to center on the target. But that's all. After that it's to the bags for some fine tuning.

It keeps me from wasting ammo and looking for wherever the impacts are for that first time of zeroing a scope. Gets ya on paper.

Laser bore sighters are great! Especialy if you have cats

I have one I use on my Scoped TC Contenders. Havent thought to try on my air guns

I have one that has different orings for multiple calibers, it goes in the muzzle, certainly nice for getting on paper.

Using one helps adjust rings that are elevation/windage adjustable while zeroing

I've never used a laser device but I have an optical collimator I used to use on my PBs. They are inexpensive (looked one up and it was just over $40 with a variety of arbors for different calibers) and they work. But I've always been on paper at 25 yards with my airguns.
