N/A Labradar question

I have my FX radar ver.1 heavy modded, for several years, but I needed one for a new to me W308 I wanted to start reloading diy.
I got my orange Labradar from second hand, last summer, from a guy who was complaining about he could never got reliable readings.
Also he already bought the latest and greatest - the Garmin, so this my deal was cheap, with in my mind if I cannot fix it I will send it for warranty fix.
First day field testing, almost half all missed shots, also it was reading some large bore shots from 20 away... Uhm ....
First thing I bought the inertial trigger gizmo, re-watched some utube videos several times and I got the LR working to about maybe 95% satisfactory.
Still I wanted more, and contacted LR if I can send them the orange unit for testing. Several emails there and back, and
LR sent me instructions, for my BR setup, what and how exactly to adjust in settings.
100% working now and I am happy for my expense.

What I know so far, the LR - also the FX radar - doesn't "read" the sound, but the outgoing wave. The .22 isl fine only the .177 may be tricky at some environments.

I don't know the JKL, I was watching it earlier I liked the detachable cable idea, but me still got the fixed cable from ... the internet somewhere.
If you dual purposing the trigger with a PB, may happen from a recoil stress the detachable cable contact could get sparking? Just speculating here...

I did not know about that trigger, so I looked it up. While I can't answer your question directly, but it looks like the moderator won't impact anything much as it is an inertial switch. I think power level would be a bigger factor than sound level, as that directly impacts momentum and thus the movement of the gun.

I use lab radar's airgun microphone trigger and it works well for me, but the muzzle has to very close to it on moderated guns. I use it all the time with my moderated Huben K1 that is pretty quiet, but when I dial the power way down eventually it won't pick up the shot. The gun is a .22 caliber, and it works fine above about 450 fps or so but if I lower the speed below that it won't pick it up. I suppose I could take of the moderator and test, but never thought of that until right now as it really dows not matter much. Anyways, the point is that if the shot is low power enough and there is not enough of a reaction in the gun, the JKL approach probably won't pick up the shot either.
