LabRadar indoors?

I am about to pull the trigger on a LabRadar in my research of the unit It seems some users have had issues with functionality indoors. I really like the long down range data capabilities it has however if I cant use it for fps at the muzzle when setting up in my basement it may be a outdoor only tool.

Any feedback on indoor short range use we have maximum of 35ft on the makeshift "basement shooting lane."

From the Labradar site FAC:

Will it work in the hot, cold, cloudy, sunny, shade or changing light conditions, rain, indoors, outdoors?

Yes, unlike most light sensing chronographs LabRadar is not affected by these environmental conditions.

I remember reading this and thinking it will not work in my garage test range due to not being wide enough;

Can I use it at an Indoor Range?

Labradar will work in most indoor ranges. You will need at least 50 feet since the beam is quite small at those distances. It may not work if you are shooting in a tunnel or tube as the radar will be reflecting off of those surfaces.

I contacted labradar directly and in a conversation with the representative I was told " it can and will work in a indoor/basement environment however you need at lease 30ft down range and 10ft min wide with no obstructions like beams or supports. I would like to sell you the product I just know you will get errors or inconsistencies and will not be satisfied with the performance in that environment. As far as out door down range data it will be able to pick up data out to apx 40 to 50 yards with pellets"

I called Utah Airguns and ordered the FX chronograph its been great in the basement over 250 shots and only 2 did not register so I'm happy with the .8%

Yes It doesn't even compare to the labradar features and data however as a tool for indoor tuning at the muzzle fps data it is instrumental.
