I am not suggesting that it is feasible or ethical and I have no intent to try it myself, but I was wondering if anyone had tried exploding pellets on game? I would assume the the soft body on an animal would not allow the pellet to ignite/explode.
Caution! Primers can be dangerous if improperly handled. They contain a explosive pellet of priming compound and small metal parts (shrapnel) that can cause injury if they explode while being handled. It would be much safer to use toy caps for capguns instead.
We use to soak “strike anywhere stick matches” in water just long enough to soften the white tip. Scrape it off. It won’t lite when wet. Pack it on the end of a pellet and let it dry. Makes a good pop. But not really explosive. Use to make them into little spit ball sizes and shoot them out of a straw at walls. Kind of like pop rocks the kids now have.
I have the red kvintor's and have a ruger airhawk so it should have plenty power to kill a sparrow or even dove but id rather try it on a sparrow first lol, want me to try it and post and video?
Toy cup pistol is what i mean beware to take other primers .
In case of toycup pistol primers you need a eyeprotection.
Somethimes when cutting them with a scissor they ignite with a smal flash
Dont play with your health the cup primers are a way to make this flashpellets more sensitive about soft media( potatos apples tomatos water filled bottles etc.)
But all is not worth to harm your eyes
If you do it than safty first otherwise dont do it
