Kral Puncher Jumbo

Air velocity sports (I think) on youtube has done many vids on them. He likes it.

However, I'm thinking that since you're coming from FX rifles you won't be happy.

I had a Marauder that I put a great deal of money into thinking I could make a $2000 gun by incremental upgrades. Eventually I gave up and bought a Crown, then I added a Royale, and an Impact. At this point i could never go back. I'm too spoiled.

The truth is that any decent airgun is good, but you pay a huge premium for the small differences that make an airgun truly excellent.

If I'm not mistaken, Aaron Cantrell posted a review on the Kral Puncher Breaker bullpup on youtube. Aaron seems to be quite impressed with the rifle. At the range the results were equal to that of his FX Wildcat.

I saw that as well, and if you're a casual user, and manage your expectations I'd say try it. Personally I'd wait for a higher quality airgun to come up in the classified ads here.

Royale's can be had for $900 and I'm quite sure the price of the Wildcat mk1 will drop significantly pretty soon. I've also seen Pulsars going for less than $1500.

As far as new guns go at a cheap price, I personally would look at a brocock compato. You can always drop in a regulator, and people say they're accurate.

My gun is a Kral, with Troy Hammer tune. I have the bull pup in .22. My gun likes heavy pellets (28.5-32g) and is tuned for around 36 FPE. I have the walnut and blue version.

AEAC and Southern Gunner both have posted glowing reviews of the Kral guns they have tested. The Troy Hammer tune gets rid of the factory weaknesses.

The fill probe shares dimensions with the FX probe. My local shooter buddy has the FX wildcat in synthetic stock. It has a much better feeling trigger, but he prefers the feel of my Kral over his FX WC.

I have two Kral’s BP .22.25 and a wildcat.25 and a bobcat .30 and for the money you can get a tuned kral for they are worth it.both mine are tuned by Troy hammer and are great shooters, and all around very solid guns once you have the know problems fixed.triggers can be adjusted to be quite nice, but it won’t be an FX trigger.troy does great work on these guns but be prepared to wait....and wait....and wait ,so maybe check out all the options in that area.

Maybe apples to oranges , But I have never held an FX gun or shot one.Crickest, Veteran and Vulcan here, I bought a Kral puncher breaker B/P in 177 and sent it back pretty fast. It just felt like a cheap gun, cocking rough,Trigger was the pits , I just thought I could tune a trigger, Now it was accurate , But the twang, the ping, and the trigger had me sending it back for a refund, No questions ask (Pyramyd air) . You can test the gun for 30 days , a little more if your on the phone with them.

I also had a marauder that I spent some good money on. Then I bought a Daystate huntsman and the a Daystate Wolverine Hi lite. Then after watching you shoot with the Wildcat I bought a compact and got rid of the Marauder and never looked back. My point i that you get what you pay for.

The levers on the jumbo are steel and not aluminum. Should never have an issue there. They appear to have finally fixed the valve stem issues as well. Just got a new shipment in. The one I just finished is in 25. I'm getting 60 shots at 53fpe from it and upgraded the trigger to the Jefferson State airrifles sear and breaking smooth at 1lb. It's really a great gun.

Troy, thanks for the update. Information on the net lives forever and old biases can be tough to overcome. Your work on the Kral should be legend. We (Kral owners) all owe you for the development and advancement of this product line. Once past the initial stumble blocks, the Kral is one hell of a gun for very little capital

Thanks again

+1 on what Jim said,Troy. Anytime I've called You or ordered from You,You took time to listen and showed A-1 customer service and trust me,it is Greatly Appreciated! I have absolute confidence when it comes to purchasing an additional Kral pcp. The only thing holding me back from getting a Jumbo in .25 is the hope that the Puncher Pro 500 will soon be available. Any word/idea on this?

With the affordability of the Kral line, maybe we could save up enough to get You a new Yellow Jacket target bag before you need a forklift to dispose of your Old one.

Thanks Again,

Mike.

I'm definitely going to need a new target bag soon but she's still stopping 300fpe @ the moment. Probably because it's a lead sheet at this point. My guess is near 100lbs.
