There doesn’t seem to be a wealth of knowledge on the Krals. Bits and pieces everywhere. So I was thinking maybe a single thread of the most common question and quirks of the krals.

In my short quest

Fill probe o-ring is also known as 009 in imperial sizing.

I measured the replacement barrel o-rings for mounting barrel into the receiver at 8mm (ID)x1.5mm(CS).

Hammers are too heavy for the guns to perform at their best. Krals also experience wicked hammer bounce even if you lighten the hammer. Other things must be done to eliminate that. SSS or SSG is the cure.

I have no problem with my Empire XS. For an inexpensive gun, I'm very happy with it. I put a few magazines through it yesterday.

Yes, it is a little mechanically noisy, so are most bullpups. Your ear is within an 1" or so of the receiver (where all metal to metal pounding action takes place).
So what ?

I replaced the hammer spring for Kral NP03 and Puncher/Mega with a 0.48" OD spring 2.5" in length rated at 10.4 lbs/in.

The bolt with integrated pellet probe in most Krals can be replaced with a bolt that accepts interchangeable pellet probes for ease of switching barrels/calibers.

You can buy the "Kral Knight Pellet probe and Tool" kit from PA or spend a few bucks more and get a 22.8" kral barrel that comes with the same Pellet Probe and Tool kit. The kit that came with my barrel had every probe size with it.

Anyone know the length of the shroud on a puncher breaker? The one kral part i cant find easily is a shroud especially for the Empire X. I believe the PB will work but i need to know the length.

CARM pellet magazines for Kral guns feed more smoothly than the stock mags and led to increased accuracy especially with thin skirt JSBs. The down side is that the CARM pellet mags don't work well with slugs. I use the factory mags for slugs.

Carm makes slug mags for the kral guns I have in .22 and .177

CARM mags are a step up. I have some CARM slug mags too but haven't tried them yet.

I replaced the factory power adjuster o-rings with 2.5 (ID) x 1.5mm (CS) 70 D ones because the power adjuster was difficult to turn. With that and a replacement hammer spring, the NP03 is shooting 16 grain JSBs consistently at 820-830 fps without a steep drop off.

I think I will have to back off the hammer spring a little but I will start from here.

I can't get my NP-03 adjuster knob out whats the trick

There's a small hole above the power adjuster with a grub screw, a spring and a small pin which holds the power adjuster in place. Once those three items were out, I had to tap the adjuster out with a small dowel. After replacing the o-rings, it slid back in easily and no air leaks when firing.

Got out a dental type pick and got the spring and pin out lubed the rings and now works like it should, spring was hanging up in the threads

Glad it worked out.

I am starting to get my NP03 figured. Still working on finding the ideal fill pressure but it is now shooting groups barely bigger than a .22 JSB at 25 yards. The best one measured 0.09" ctc. Not bad for a budget gun.

Absolutely love my xs.25 I ported all ports (transfer, barrel, and action) to a little under 5mm or so stock spring maxed np03 16” barrel made a new shroud still work in progress, but happy so far.

That is a sweet looking Empire XS.

I've been thinking about doing the porting as well but I am not quite sure how to go about it. I've got a drill press but I'd rather not experiment with the methods and ruin anything. Haha.

I used a harbor freight drill press, on the original barrel it’s easier with an adjustable speed dremel so you can go slow and take your time. With the stock 13” barrel I got around the low to mid 700s with a 200 fill after with 16” barrel I get mid to upper 800 fps this was today then I’ll show stock.

Good work, really impressive results. And thanks for the tips. The next time I have one of my Krals apart I may have to undertake the porting job.
