Kral Bighorn

I received the Kral Bighorn in 25 caliber 30 caliber and 357. Big potential. The 25 although a small shot count due to heavy hammer and heavy spring starts out at over 79 foot pounds with 39 grain slugs. The 30 caliber is just over 90 ft lb and the 357 is around 105 foot pounds. With a slight Hammer modification and a new twin spring De bounce system the 30 caliber was able to achieve four magazines 9 shots each for 36 shots at 80 foot pounds. And I should have the results on the 25 caliber and 357 by the middle of the week.

They have a 500cc 250 bar bottle and porting size is 6 mm from valve to Barrel.

Plus a tensioned 580 mm Barrel and some beautiful Turkish Walnut stocks.

I paypaled Troy yesterday for a 25 caliber Bighorn.

I have the Kratos 25 that I really like, except: the short magazine and the short barrel at 17 inches. I have the Talon tunes 250 bar tank and I have ported to .20 and removed the valve return spring. I am now running 65 FPE with slugs and Kings, 890 FPS with 36 grain Seneca pellets. I also have a regulator for lower power shooting, once I get the Bighorn, I will put the regulator back on and dedicate it ti a medium powered pellet rifle.

I cast for the Kratos using the MPMOLDS 252-46-hp and the 25 caliber round nose boat tail, however I am still short of the fpe Troy has shown me by about 100-140 FPS with similar bullets.

I am very impressed with the Kratos, but the Bighorn with more power, longer magazine and longer 22 inch barrel just may be a slug shooters delight. In the medium priced PCP market, the Kral products are slugging far above their weight in build quality, ease of operation, meaning a sidelever and trigger are what we pcp shooters dream of, not to mention shot consistency, I could go on, but my compressor and empty French press coffee pot are calling me.

Troy is the Kral go to guy.

Changed the Kratos over to 3626 psi regulated cf bottle this morning. Set the velocity to a quiet, accurate and mild 515 FPS with kings. Probably around 275 shots to a fill.

Most likely it will be in this configuration for some time with the Bighorn 25 on its way there us no need to ‘warm it up.’

I could not find his new site either this morning. Looking at that truck load of Krals, I would think it might be a while before that site is up.
