Kral Bighorn. 30

Installed my deadblow valve system. Lightened the hammer. Cut 3 coils off a Benjamin Bulldog spring and made a new delrin guide. With zero preload it's now getting 45 shots or 5 mags at 930fps average with JSB 44.75 pellets. It's only a 22.8" barrel and with a full length Bulldog spring it will sling lead at just over 105fpe.

Before a little tuning it was getting 1" groups at 75 yards. Hoping this tightens that up a little. Going to polish the barrel too. It was an untouched factory barrel.

Changed a few things to tighten up the spread. Lowered the power a bit and cut it to 4 mags on a fill so 36 shots now but they look really good.

Hey Troy are the Puncher and NP actions the same as the bighorn, with the exception of porting? Seems to be the same action with a heavy hammer and spring, but I’ve never had one in hand. Very impressive results, you’ve really got these Krals figured out.

The Bighorn action is a little longer to accommodate the larger hammer and spring.

Ok that makes sense the hammer looks huge. Does the hammer have a throw adjustment like a marauder? Again haven’t held one, but it looks like it does in pictures. These really are great guns, everyone I have shoot lights out with zero issues.

Why don't you change the bottle for a big Omega one?

I would also change the barrel for an old FX smooth twist o for a poligonal LW. 

You are getting closer to a "perfect .30 Cal rifle" !!!

Wouldn't be backyard friendly but not bad for the power. Noise is somewhat relative. Not true bigbore loud though.

I have to get back to the range for some longer range shooting but here is a 5 shot group at 32 yards. I was sitting shooting off my knee FT style. Wind at 17mph on top of that. I'm pleased to say the least.

Certainly not a bad group for the conditions, and good power.



I wonder is they would send you them to you without the finish on the stocks. A little sanding and some deeper gloss would look really good on that rifle.

The best Bighorn upgrade out there. Before and after pics of the Kral Bighorn hammer and spring mod. Shorten by 1/4" and bore the hole to 1/2" and install the spring from a Benjamin Bulldog.

I do have a .357 Kral BH, can I use a Bulldog spring without cutting it?, Bulldog spring seems a little shorter.
