Kral Arms questions

Did they fix soft valve stem steel? Are they very accurate barrels or jus ok, pellet picky? I don't need super nice wood or dark bluing. I need built to last & super accurate with at least ONE pellet, though I like rifles with the ability to shoot many after zeroing for that brand & weight.

I have a Puncher Breaker Silent Marine in 22 and I would say the accuracy is ok-decent when the power is dialed down but my 22 Umarex Gauntlet will consistently outshoot it every time at 40 yards and beyond. The Kral is fine up to 40 yards IMO. You will like the Kral if you are upgrading from a Discovery. Mine shoots better when the power is turned down shooting JSB and Air Arms both weights and Crosman CPHP the cheap ones but as they say your results may vary.

The Kral is a nicer gun and better designed IMO with a higher price that reflects that.

The Gauntlet is IMO kind of crappy and not that fun to shoot but it is surprisingly accurate which can rival guns costing 6 times as much.

I would consider a 22 Marauder Field and Target like Shooter1721 has on video over my Kral if I was given a choice.

James, what is your intended use? Walking the fields, or bench rest?

I have Kral bullpup and am shooting 5/8" groups at 100y from a bench using 28.5 grain pellet. The gun is a better shooter than I am, by far.

My gun (first run) has been upgraded by Troy Hammer, I can't vouch for the more recent production runs.



I am happy with mine at the price of purchase and upgrades. Getting a lot more out of it than I put into it.

Hi JimNM what was done to your Kral to get 5/8" groups at 100 yards? Yours must be not a 22.

That is incredible! I think others would be interested as much as I am. I would like to buy that

gun if you ever want to sell it.

FWIW, the JSB jumbo does not like my gun past 40 yards. 35 yards is a nickle sized group. 45 yards I can't hit dirt with those. The CPHP 14.3g is ok at half power, but trajectory is too loopy to shoot more than 50 - 60 yards.

There is a lot to be said about getting the right pellet for the gun.

I have one that came in last week, a mega marine with wood. I don't have a tin of pellets shot yet so I really can't say much to your questions.

It does not leak, I find the cocking smooth firm, no wiggle...and it is shooting out to 60 yards ok with a flyer in here and there, I hope it will calm down after I get a few hundred rounds down it.

Some reviews I read said be ready for stock work if you get a wood rifle, mine is fine, fit and finish to the action is very nice, stock is smooth no rough edges...I was ready to refinish but decided against it, It is really too nice to mess with.

Never got back on this thread. JimNm, that is awesome. I'm guessing you had it regulated? I'm mainly a target /plinker but if I see a red squirrel, or Coyote, I do the Farmers a favor.
