AirMaks Arms Krait owners speak up

I’m partial to Eastern European guns, the Krait checks all the boxes for me but it has had reg issues that I believe have been corrected. How do you like yours? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I've got a compact version, in .22 cal.
I waited until AirMaks made their first adjuster change to buy one. Don't know, maybe lucky...but my little .22 Krait is doing very nicely thank you. I even put a digital gauge in the post regulator position to keep a better accurate check on how the regulator is working.

Zero complaints. As with most air guns, the first shot after sitting a few weeks+, is maybe 15 to 18 bar (very little !!) low. But after the first shot, and on, everything as it's supposed to be.

Again, no complaints from me.

I have the krait X in .25 cal. Previous owner swapped out the factory reg with a Huma reg. It’s a great shooting gun. I have it tuned for shooting the jsb 34gr pellets at 70 fpe, I got 84 shots on a fill at this power level. It’s e trembly accurate with those pellets and 2 different slugs I’ve tried in it so far. It’s much lighter than I anticipated, feels great and very smooth.

I've had mine for about 13 months now. The first one that I got was garbage, the second one is rock solid. Been shooting the same since I set it up. Bought a Huma reg just in case and it's still in the box. Fun little gun, quiet, accurate and easy to shoulder.

I have had mine (KRAIT L, in .177) almost a week. By the look an description I have Huma MK3 regulator fitted from factory.
Because I'm waiting for the scope for Krait, i have not tried accuracy yet. But have taken maybe 10 dry shots and reg. is spot on at 70 bar (factory setting). No creep.

I took my Krait L 25 out last week to the range - almost straight out of the box. Filled it to 265bar. The regulator came set at about 101. I used JTS 25.39 pellets. I took my time between shots as I was zeroing in a new scope on it. When I was finished, the tank gauge showed about 171 bar. So far, I'm very impressed. The accuracy is very good. I did a 50 yard group of 10 inside a quarter rather easily. I didn't touch the hammer tension at all. I need to adjust the trigger some as it's a bit higher on pressure than I like. Used an FX Chrony. The second shot @ 807 was there because I didn't close the bolt all the way and threw off the numbers (air blew back at the magazine)! The reg has not dropped as of today (4 days now) and I will take it out again today and do another string of shots.

I just sent one back, Krait L in .22 Mk 4 reg. pressures all over the place, reg goes between 110 and 130 bar, constantly had to increase hammer tension after a fill as fps would drop by 300.
Should be rebranded as the Crate.

It comes in a plastic Airmaks case along with a fill probe and a magazine. It might have come with some orings but it’s been a while since I got mine.

Krait is marketing as slug gun, but how good they shoot pellets?

Especially krait at 400mm barrel.
How Jsb hades 15.58gr .22 work for max 40 yard with them?

Or some different pellet about 15.89gr-18gr?

Is those models with mk4 regulator work well?

@Silent shot - I also have a Krait standard in .177. I shoot mostly H&N Baracuda Extreme Hunter in it at 1030fps. I also shoot 10.03 4.51mm KO slugs as well as JSB 10.03 pellets. The speed drops on both, but I just adjust my scope (I have a digital scope on the gun so I change the profile for what I'm shooting) and go about shooting. My gun likes the KOs and is very accurate with them, but not "target competition" accurate! I shoot pests with this gun out to 100 yards - smaller ones like squirrels, rabbits, and starlings and have no problem dropping them in one shot. I use the Krait L .25 for longer and larger pest shots.

I can't wait for that. I love his mags and was bummed when I couldn't find any for my Krait. Any idea on when they will be available?
