Kraford and Lypt KL-MAV FX Maverick Chassis

I recently bought a couple of Kraford and Lypt KL-MAV chassis for mine and my dad's FX Mavericks. First of all let me say that Stephen really produces some nice stuff! They are really a quality product and he took to time to answer all of the questions I had prior to and after my purchase.

I went to install them on the guns and noticed that the front screw that mounts the original FX chassis to the stock is a flat head cap screw and it appears that the K&L chassis requires a socket head cap screw instead. I didn't receive that screw with the new chassis. I think it figured out it needs to be an M4 x 30mm long socket head cap screw but wanted to see if anybody who has the K&L chassis can confirm that for me.

I also noticed one of the chassis is missing the patch of foam on the extended rail that presses up against the bottle. Am I ok running the chassis without it?

I emailed Stephen at K&L, but haven't received a response yet. He's a busy guy and I know he'll eventually respond, but in the mean time I thought I'd reach out here to see if anybody knew the answer.

That "arm" is plenty long enough to bend under the right circumstances.

I'd put something there. Like a "furniture glide". Those little patches of felt that protect hardwood floors from chair and table feet. Cheap and available in various sizes. Mostly round.

Or a piece of thin closed cell foam packaging material, that would work too. A piece of bicycle inner tube...many things will work, but I'd definitely use something.

I used the flat head screw that you removed from the stock Maverick. The hole on mine is slightly smaller than the flat head screw. The fit and look leaves a little to be desired though. My main complaint with the chassis install. In use, I have not had any problems and do love how easy I can balance out the Maverick on my RRS Arca tripod head.
