I have been kind of lucky I think to keep getting slug recoveries in some of my squirrels. It has been nice to see the different slugs expanding in real world conditions and not trying to replicate in other media. Today's slug recovery comes courtesty of Mr Squirrel, who volunteered to test out a double shoulder shot from a .22 JSB Knockout. For this test, I sat at my table 35 yards from him. Due to glare on the cm, he hopped up on a section of fence to better show the shot on the video. This was from a Maverick that is set to shoot this particular slug at 1000 fps. Wow, completely surprised that at 1000 fps it didn't blow right thru him. Those hp's are really working.

i got a hog couple weeks back with my .30 uragan with KO's....
i recovered the slug at just inside the hide, exit side.
it retained its weight
good thru the heart/lung/rib area @ 27yrds.
i weighed the slug then, 47.9gr
hit just where i pointed

It is a Sniper version with the heavy liner. I was pretty amazed to see the Knockouts with that expansion. The last few I have put through the front shoulder all had nice neat holes in entrance and a really large exit....so this really showed me how good they were doing.
