N/A King 2236

There's some solid info here. - https://airgunwarriors.com/community/airgun-talk/markham-king-2236/

"The Daisy no. 101 and 102 represent the “Depression Era” BB guns that were first produced in 1933. They really were just the Markham King 2233 gun rebranded as a Daisy no. 101 model 33. The 500 shot no.102 was also released in 1933."

Looks like a Daisy 101 or 102 spring might be the thing. I'd give Daisy a call. They have great customer service.

And Good on Ya! for bringing an old one back to life. We need more of that.

Cheers,

J~

Thanks Hobbyman2007. I measured the spring dimensions but have not called anyone yet. I ordered and received a seal kit for the 2236 rifle. It came with air tube, leather and neoprene seals. I could not use any of them. I could not get them passed the beginning of the gun. In my opinion they are too large. All air gun purists should stop reading this now. I removed the rivet that holds the gun together. This made life wonderful. I then cut many new leather seals until I found the sweet spot. The leather seal I got in the kit was also cut off center. A lot off center. I used 13/16s as a start for the seals. Long story and much cursing later I have a fully functional air gun. Lightly wire wheeled the metal and wood stock. Tung oil on the stock and just light oil on the metal. It now has a wonderful patina look to it. I stretched the spring a bit to straighten it out but who knows how it would look if I took it out again. It shoots much faster than before but is a bugger to cock. Not horrible but much harder than my Crosman western sky carbine 1999 rifle. Hopefully it will get easier the more I shoot. The western sky carbine can hit anything accurately so we usually shoot at targets from 50 to 60 feet away. Much more fun. I am happy. That is all that matters. Now I hope that this gun will last another 80 years or so. Next we took my new M1 apart to make the trigger pull easier. Sweet Lord what a time that was. All back together, trigger works no batter but oh my God what fun it is. That's all for now gang. I would like to make one of those targets that slowly spins after the first shot. Look really fun but don't what to pay the price. Thanks for all the help and happy shooting. Brian.
